NEW HEAVY DUTY ROUTER TABLE FROM LEDACRAFT –

A new heavy duty router table with 3hp three phase built-in motor has been introduced by Leda Machinery Pty Ltd as part of their Ledacraft range aimed mainly at schools and men’s sheds.

With its quiet induction motor, it produces much less noise than the power tool type brush motor routers that are inserted into most router tables.

As well as the advantage of quiet running, some other features of the Ledacraft MX-526A router table are –

* Strength and stability
The ground cast iron work table, tiltable to 45º, provides an accurate platform for any project. The table is supported by a strong sheet steel enclosed base.

* Easy height adjustment
To set the height of the cutter in relation to the work table, the table rise and fall adjustment is by a large handwheel on the front of the machine. The time saving convenience of this can be best appreciated by those who have operated a router table with a hand router mounted inside. With that type of router table, height adjustment is difficult, frustrating and time consuming.

* Easy fence adjustment
The infeed fence is set first, to the depth of cut required by the cutter. When this is set as required, the whole guard and fences assembly is locked down to the table by two large knobs. The outfeed fence is then adjusted out to align with the cutter so the workpieces can then slide straight across from the infeed fence, through the cutter and then across the outfeed fence in one line, without rocking back or forth.

* Clean machine
The wrap around safety cover captures the cutter shavings and the 100mm (4”) dust outlet at the rear allows a good air flow to the dust extractor.

* Safety first
The wrap around safety cover guards the cutter completely, except where workpieces are cut at the front. A spring steel adjustable safety guard mounts across the front to keep operators’ hands away from the cutter.

* Switches
Magnetic on/off switches with mushroom head stop button, overload protection and no-volt release are standard on the machine.

This machine is a new generation router table which is so much easier to set up than conventional units and so much quieter, that there is no comparison.
