Screenmasters Screenmasters Celebrate Australasian Distributor Agreement with GIPO Crushers
Screenmasters Australia are delighted to announce that from May 2012 they will be the new Australasia Distributor for the Swiss made GIPO Crushers and Screens. All Screens and Crushers are 100% manufactured at GIPO’s Seedorf Factory just outside of Zurich, Switzerland. NOTHING is subcontracted out, even the track frames are built in-house allowing for the highest standard of quality control.

GIPO crushing established in 1973, were the first company in the world to build track mounted crushers. They built their very first track mounted unit in 1982 and were the first company to display track mounted crushers at the Munich Bauma Show in 1986.

Trailblazers, GIPO began building and mass marketing a primary and secondary track mounted impact crusher with a screen in a closed circuit in 1998, some 4 years before other manufacturers followed their lead. Over 500 of these units have been built and delivered around the world since; many within excess of 25,000 hours are still in great working condition today.

GIPO are ahead of the game with a corporate philosophy focusing on flexibility and problem solving. This allows for technical and design innovations to be built into the Crushing and Screening units on an ongoing basis. For example, GIPO’s design team developed a screening unit that, whether it have a triple, double or single deck screen attached, can fit to various units in their Jaw and Impact Crusher range saving the customer valuable capital costs as it averts the usual necessity of purchasing two screening units (one for jaw and one for impactor). Similarly the conveyor that allows the screening unit to close the crushing circuit stays on for transport and has an innovative swivel device installed allowing the conveyor to swivel 180 degrees and stockpile the oversize material if necessary. This can be carried out while the machine is still working with no crane required and no chutes to be changed over; just a very simple but effective piece of design and engineering.

All GIPO Crushers and Screens are Diesel/Hydraulic. The company manufacturers many underground Crushers, both fixed and track mounted which are designed and built to the customer’s specific requirements. There is no automation on any of the GIPO units just simple, reliable and easy to use hydraulic gauges. Screenmasters know from experience this is a huge plus in the Australian environment where OEM backup and support is hard to source in remote areas, often leading to very expensive downtime costs.

GIPO pride themselves on the reliability of their equipment. This is illustrated by the fact that their clients can operate these units for many years with total confidence in the “up time” that the machine will provide. Tarmac UK for example, own and operate many GIPO machines both in the UK and Middle East. In 2007 they purchase 4 track-mounted GIPO units, today these units have in excess of 11,000 hours. Indeed one of the first GIPO units Tarmac UK ever purchased back in 2003 (a GIPO R 170 Impactor) has over 25,000 hours and is still going strong with Tarmac claiming in excess of 99% up time even after all these years. Two GIPO crushers were installed in Russia back in 2004; today one of these units has 39,000 working hours the other 36,000. Now that’s an investment that any company director can be proud of.
