Australian National Field Days
For three days in October, the small community of Borenore, NSW, becomes the focus of the farming world when it hosts the country’s oldest annual agricultural exhibition. This year, more than 600 local and international exhibitors will converge on Borenore for the Australian National Field Days exhibition. The exhibition, started in 1952, showcases the latest in agricultural technology.
Visitors
The Australian National Field Days exhibition has been running for more than 50 years and the organisers always make sure there’s something for everyone. For those involved in the industry, it’s a great opportunity to find out about the latest technologies. In particular, the machinery demonstrations allow you to see new equipment in action and if you have any questions, you can speak to the exhibitors in person.
Animal arenas are always a favourite at exhibitions and the Australian National Field Days is no different. Visitors can see prize-winning horses, sheep and cattle at the exhibition halls, while the NSW Workers Sheepdog trials put competitors through their paces.
For those simply looking for a day out, the exhibition has plenty to entertain you. Daily fashion parades show the far reaches of the industry and champion local designers while cooking demos provide tasty meal ideas using local produce. For children, there’s a cliff hanger jumping castle as well as a schools education area. If you want to give yourself a thrill, helicopter joy rides give you a chance to see the exhibition from the sky.
Exhibitors
The Australian National Field Days is well known in the industry calendar and provides valuable opportunities for exhibitors. You will get a chance to meet potential customers face-to-face and take them through your products in person. The exhibition is also the perfect arena if you’re thinking about launching a new product. Members of the local and national media will be covering the exhibition, meaning you’ll get maximum coverage.
