DesignBUILD have been supporting Australian architecture and construction communities for the past three decades. They continue to introduce Australian industry markets to commercial suppliers and innovators. The DesignBUILD expo will make its return to Sydney in 2017. And for the first time, it will take place in the contemporary designed International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. The expo will create a platform for manufacturers to meet retailers and for retailers to meet buyers, across three days of trading and learning.
No matter the design sub-industry, there’s probably something that will impact your industry about to be revealed at the DesignBUILD expo. Even three months out, the expo has already reached 300 individual exhibitors from both Australia and overseas. To articulate the sheer amount of exhibitors within the expo, DesignBUILD have developed four dedicated zones to direct customers. Across these zones are innovations in structure and material, building tech, landscape and outdoor, and indoor fixtures and finishes.
At the centre of the DesignBUILD expo is the ability to learn. Over the course of three days attendees will be introduced to new products and services to improve their own craft. Participants will learn directly from key speakers about how new products, trends and sustainability compliance will affect their respective industries.
The expo also gives industry professionals the opportunity to meet other professionals. DesignBUILD caters for architects, builders, designers and service providers. Bringing the industry’s finest together under one roof for three days. Attendees will be able to network and co-ordinate with more than 6,600 other industry heads during the course of the expo. Ultimately, allowing experts to share project ideas and industry insight.
Exhibitors taking interest in the DesignBUILD expo can reach at 5,000 unique participants, buyers or collaborators within the industry, by last years numbers. In 2016 the show also took the Best Trade Show award for an expo over 10,000m2 and experienced an increase in visitors up 13% from the year prior. Previous organisations exhibiting at the expo have found an increase in brand awareness, sales leads and established company profile.
This year is set to be the biggest DesignBUILD expo yet. Prospective exhibitors can secure their place at designbuildexpo.com.au or by calling +61 3 9261 4500.
To access entry to the DesignBUILD expo, attendees must be professionals in the architecture, building, construction or design industries. Attendees must be able to provide proof of identity upon entry to the exhibition. If you are a professional you may pre-register online for free, or pay $25 at the door on the day of the event. The seminars will also require attendees to pre-register at the registration site. The expo also welcomes students studying within a relevant field.
For those driving, there are a number of available car parks located a short distance from the convention center. As most of these parking spaces will require fees, it may be better for attendees to use public transport. The light rail travels to Darling Harbour stations. As does the train, the ferry and water taxi at regular intervals. There are more details available at the DesignBUILD expo location page.
