Having trouble reaching discreet fishing spots, skimming shallow sand banks in your tinny or hooking that trophy fish? Then the National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo is the place for you. The expo is three days of adventure lifestyle products, industry experts and trailblazing entertainment. The expo is the best place to test the latest products in the field. It hits the Brisbane Showgrounds from the 31st of March to the 2nd of April.
The venue at Brisbane Showgrounds has recently undergone major upgrades. Now sporting air conditioning, huge outdoor display spaces, live stages, an entertainment arena and for the National 4×4 Outdoors Show, an all-terrain proving ground. The three day event will cover the showgrounds with exhibitions from vying adventure brands putting their best products to battle.
Among the exhibitors are Toyota Land-cruiser Clubs, camping equipment and barbeques, as well as fleets of boats for fishing. There are already more than 200 exhibitors putting their wares to the test at the the outdoor show. Every one of them offering advice and inside tips as well as diverse products.
Not just falling into the category of mundane expos that serve more like marketplaces than active exhibitions, the National 4×4 Outdoors Show will put on live shows and competitions. The action arena will feature professional 4×4 drivers and motorbike riders on off road tracks. Where the proving ground will give potential 4×4 buyers a chance to see how the Holden Colorado performs in tough conditions. It also offers attendees a chance to test drive the vehicle and learn some 4×4 techniques.
Among the shows are cattle trick riding, sheepdog exhibitions, live seafood cooking and kids arenas for the little ones. The expo will also be giving away TUFF Bullbar prize packs to a select few. Details of the competition can be found at 4x4show.com.au.
The National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Boating and Fishing Expo is the biggest show of its kind in South East Queensland. The show has attracted over 150 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors on average for the past 5 years. The expo’s 2015 show reached close to $7.2m in sales and orders alone. If you’re driving, you can reach parking by following the directions below. The parking spots will be $13 each day, or if you’re feeling sneaky, at Victoria park for just $10 a vehicle.
Expo Place & The Avenues: Accessed via Gregory Terrace – Exhibitor Pre Paid, Exhibitor Pay on the day and Visitors as available
The Marquee, Sideshow Alley & Oval 2: Accessed Via O’Connell Terrace Gate 5 – Visitor Parking
Victoria Park: Accessed via Bowen Bridge Road and then onto Gilchrist Avenue – Visitor Parking
Disabled Parking: The RNA will provide disabled parking sections in each car park area with signage, the disabled parking areas will be as close as possible to the entrance of the show
