After a strong first year, the Sydney Build Expo will return late March 2017 to the Hordern Pavilion. The expo will continue to build on the foundations it set in 2016, adding more than 100 national and international exhibitors, 40 workshops and conference sessions as well as 30 media and industry partners supporting the expo. Sydney Build is a diverse two day gathering of the state’s best tradesmen and industry professionals.
The Sydney Build Expo will continue to operate on three pillars. Content, networking and entertainment. Due to the diverse range of attendees and partners, the expo is the perfect medium for professionals to network. Last years event was attended by contractors, developers, architects, government and construction industry professionals. The event will allow organizations to open their businesses to new construction projects within Sydney and across the nation.
If you’re not looking to network then there’s still plenty to catch at Sydney Build. There will be over 100 individual exhibitors showcasing their products during the two day event. The event will also feature live demonstrations and keynote speeches from builder association leaders and national leaders in architecture.
The speeches will address low energy construction in Australia, the impact of developments in VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) on architecture and combining sustainable building with aesthetic designs. See sydneybuildexpo.com/visit/agenda/ for more information.
Sydney Build has also added two summits to this years event. The Australian Digital Construction & BIM Summit & The Australian Sustainability Summit will showcase the latest innovations, prospects and solutions in sustainable construction. These summits will showcase green construction initiatives through conference and workshop floors, expert presentations and case studies from field experts.
Still not convinced? There will be prizes too. Not just budget coupons or coffee vouchers either. The Sydney Build Expo is giving away power tools (Mitre Saw, Combination Pack) from Hitachi Australia, a double pass for a Sydney Harbour Bridge climb and tickets for Captain Cook Harbour cruises.
Exhibitors are already stacking the two day event. But it’s still in the process of booking more. With 100 exhibitors already joining the expo, Sydney Build will showcase the latest construction materials and software for both residential sites and large-scale urban developments. See sydneybuildexpo.com/exhibit/whos-exhibiting/ for the full list of exhibitors in attendance.
If you are hoping to exhibit this year, Sydney Build offers prospective exhibitors an opportunity to introduce their product or technology to thousands of industry professionals. The Expo is still booking and by visiting sydneybuildexpo.com/exhibit/want-to-exhibit/ or calling +61 (2) 8006 7557 you can secure your space.
Sydney Build is a completely free event. The entry to the expo grounds, the conferences and the workshops are all free. However due to the high volume of workshop attendees, it is a good idea to register for the seminars at eventbrite.com, before you miss your place in the crowd.
If you are traveling by car, parking is available in the Hordern Pavilion multi-deck car park at $25 a day, and can be reached via Lang Road, off Anzac Parade, Moore Park. These fees can be avoided by validating your parking within the venue. Buses also frequently do drop offs next door at Fox Studios Australia. The 339 bus service will get you there and does pick ups at the Central, Wynyard and Town Hall train stations.
