Tradies National Health Month

August 1, 2017 @ 12:00 AM - August 31, 2017 @ 12:00 AM

Last year in August you might have seen some pretty weird work sites. Tradies were out on yoga mats, practicing stretches in sync and taking advise from traveling physios. It wasn’t just a sudden Tradie movement to seek higher consciousness; it was the Tradies National Health Month.
The TNHM is an informative month that attempts to inform tradies about the inherent dangers of their work and what sustained manual labour can do to our bodies. Taking place in August, the awareness month reaches out to those who work in trade occupations, their families, employers and the industry in general.

The trade industry carries the most health and safety issues of any other work sector sector in Australia. For Tradies to take extended time off work to recover from ailments, the worksites, businesses, communities and the economy will all potentially suffer. This is why the Tradie Health Month is so important within the industry. By being informed, tradies can be prepared and prevent any injuries from forming in the first place.

Tradies’ National Health Month is calling for everyone to get involved with this year’s charity. If you want to get involved but don’t know how, find out how here!
