Chat with your account manager if you\u2019re unsure what access you have.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Understanding Lead Buckets <\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you login to Machines4U, you can click \u2018Stats Leads\u2019 to get to your leads management tool. If you\u2019re already logged in, hover over your name and click \u2018My Leads\u2019 for faster access to this view panel. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here you will see an <\/span><a href=\"#\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">overview of all the sales leads<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that have come through during a certain time period. You can narrow down your lead list by choosing the equipment condition (your ads for New\/Used\/Hire), choose a date range, and\/or select a particular user (if you have more than one registered user). When leads come in, our system automatically sorts them into these buckets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24030\" src=\"\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/lead-buckets.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"459\" height=\"124\" srcset=\"https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150002\/lead-buckets.jpg 459w, https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150002\/lead-buckets-300x81.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 459px) 100vw, 459px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s go through what each of these buckets mean and why they are important. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sales Leads<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Sales Leads bucket is where all your sales leads sit that are not spam or merged leads. This is the<\/span><b> most important<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> leads list to check consistently, as most of your ad enquiries will be logged here. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spam Leads<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you click on Spam Leads, you will be shown a list of people who have made enquiries on your ad that have been flagged by our system as spam. This helps protect you from wasting time following up on insincere or unsuitable enquiries. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our system automatically filters enquiries to spam when a buyer:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attempts to spam multiple sellers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Has previously been identified as a spammer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Has made too many enquiries within a short timeframe<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Is submitting an enquiry outside of Australia (unless you have opted in to receive international enquiries\u2026 more on this below)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Merged Leads<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A merged lead is one buyer who has submitted multiple enquiries or performed more than one lead action on your ad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For instance, if someone is interested in buying a forklift, they might find your ad where they download your product PDF 3 times. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our system identifies these as new leads by the same person, made on the same day, for the same piece of kit. Instead of adding 3 new leads to your Sales Leads page, we add 1 new lead in your Merged Leads page. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It\u2019s important to note that if a buyer makes different lead actions (like downloads a PDf, sends an email, then calls), these won\u2019t be merged by our system and will appear as 3 separate leads. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now we\u2019ve established these lead buckets, let\u2019s discuss some neat features you can use to better manage your leads. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quick Tips For Managing Your Leads<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check your lead buckets often<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Be sure to add your lead\u2019s details to your own database <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tweak your preferences to get the most from your Machines4U account<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing Your Leads<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you choose your lead bucket (for this example we are using the general Sales Leads bucket), you will see your leads laid out in front of you. Almost like a spreadsheet. You can sort these leads by any of the top-row particulars:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-24031\" src=\"\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/leads-list-1024x63.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"63\" srcset=\"https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150004\/leads-list-1024x63.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150004\/leads-list-300x18.jpg 300w, https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150004\/leads-list-768x47.jpg 768w, https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150004\/leads-list-500x31.jpg 500w, https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150004\/leads-list.jpg 1169w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simply click on the variable you want to sort your list by, and it will immediately update to show your leads in that order (such as date received, name, lead status, etc.). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here\u2019s a very quick rundown on what each of these particulars mean:<\/span><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><b>Particular<\/b><\/td>\n<td><b>Description<\/b><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Received<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sorts your leads list by Date Received. You can sort by oldest-&gt;newest or vice versa.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Equipment<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sorts by your piece of equipment\/machinery. It groups your leads by the ads they enquired on.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Price<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sorts your leads by your ad price. Handy if you want to find leads on your most expensive pieces of kit quickly. <\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prospect Name<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sorts your leads alphabetically by your prospect\u2019s first name. <\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phone<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sorts your list by private and full phone number details. Leads from private numbers will not show a phone number as the user has opted not to provide their details. Machines4U does not have access to private number details as this is withheld by telcos for legal reasons.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Email<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sort to show all email enquiries first.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Type<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the Lead Type (i.e. how your lead enquired or made contact).<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Status<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are 5 statuses that show up in this column: In Progress (still actively working on selling to this lead), Won (you sold the buyer something), Lost (the buyer purchased from a competitor), Merged (a duplicate enquiry), Deferred (they buyer wasn\u2019t ready or is still in the research phase). You or your sales team manually update this. Doing so lets you see conversion rates from your sales team. Sort by status to quickly find leads that need follow up. <\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Opportunity<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This column helps you identify the approximate lead value, for instance they may enquire on your $250K machine, but are really only after a $2000 part for the machine. You would manually update this column with \u2018$2000\u2019 to reflect the lead\u2019s true value. This column auto-populates with your ad price, or if you have <\/span><a href=\"\/mag\/poa-dirty-word\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">used POA<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, it will reflect the average price in your ad\u2019s chosen category.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Edited<\/span><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sort your lead list by the last ad edit date. <\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Updating Lead Preferences<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are a couple of little tricks you can use to fine-tune the types of leads you get.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International Leads<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you are a business that deals with overseas customers, then this option is for you. As a default, this option is turned off (to minimise spam requests). However this is easily switched on to allow international buyers to contact you via Machines4U. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simply login to your Machines4U account. Then on the sidepanel, click \u2018Account\u2019 then \u2018Preferences\u2019. Where it says \u2018Receive International Enquiries\u2019, tick the corresponding box. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-24032\" src=\"\/mag\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/m4u.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"844\" height=\"79\" srcset=\"https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150006\/m4u.jpg 844w, https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150006\/m4u-300x28.jpg 300w, https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150006\/m4u-768x72.jpg 768w, https:\/\/magmedia.machines4u.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/21150006\/m4u-500x47.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 844px) 100vw, 844px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make sure you scroll down and click \u2018Save\u2019 once you\u2019re done. <\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Targeting Lead Types<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some sellers find it difficult to respond to some lead types quickly (such as email or phone calls) this is because they are busy running a farm, or servicing machines, etc. So, we introduced a nifty feature that allows you to \u2018opt out\u2019 of certain enquiry types. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your dedicated account manager can help you target specific lead types. They will find your number on their phone (or look up that last email chain) and get in touch directly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Or suppose&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They\u2019re searching for a new piece of equipment and find your Machines4U ad. Most likely, they want to visit a showroom and see the new machine first-hand. They hit the \u2018print\u2019 or \u2018map\u2019 button so they can find you. These leads are very valuable and are especially important when you\u2019re selling new pieces of equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is what we call \u2018lead bleed\u2019. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s because the lead found your ad on our site, but skipped our enquiry platform. Technically we helped provide the lead, but it doesn\u2019t show up in your <\/span><a href=\"#\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lead data<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We don\u2019t mind lead bleed, just as long as our sellers understand our platform is still working in their favour. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019re happy you get the sale, no matter how you get it! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have any questions, we are always here to help.
