Komatsu Australia have released another giant and powerful mining excavator. It weighs up to 405 tonnes and is powered by a Komatsu SDA16V160E-2 engine rated at 1400 kW. <\/span><\/p>\n

Promising higher productivity, reduced maintenance costs, increased reliability and upgraded safety features, this new PC4000-11 Tier 2 mining excavator is a step up from its 2016 predecessor. While based on the 2016 model, the main difference lies within the new PC4000-11\u2019s Tier 2 emissions standard engine, where the earlier model sported a Tier 4 Final engine fitted to it.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKomatsu can now supply the latest design and technology with a Tier 2 option to Australian mines not requiring the Tier 4 PC4000-11 model,\u201d said Michael Hall, Komatsu Australia\u2019s National Product Manager (Mining).<\/span><\/p>\n

And soon Aussie miners will be experiencing these new and improved machines for themselves. A number of upgrades enhance safety standards for both operators and maintenance crews. One of these upgrades includes the 45-degree stairway access stairs and factory-fitted exit ladders. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnother safety advance is a new emergency egress system, incorporating emergency exits on two sides of the machine, ensuring high safety standards for all personnel on the machine,\u201d said Hall.<\/span><\/p>\n
