These contacts may be stored in other email clients such as Gmail, Outlook, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rules vary from state to state, however in general it\u2019s important to have permission from your contacts before you can add them to the Machines4U email tool as subscribers. Think of it this way\u2014would they be expecting to hear from your business? If so, it\u2019s probably safe to add them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you\u2019ve exported your contacts (you\u2019ll want them in a CSV file), make sure you <a href=\"\/mag\/email-list-cleaning-why-is-it-important\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clean your list<\/a>. That is, go through and remove any contacts that aren\u2019t relevant to your business (like family members) or who may mark you as spam. This is important. You&#8217;ll likely have a lot of empty cells. If that happens you can always run the export process again and create a new file.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can use Excel to update the information in your .csv file. Always do a backup of your data prior to attempting an export. <\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Head over to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">iCloud website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and get yourself logged in.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once successfully logged in, you should see various options on your screen. Now, what you need to do is click on the little settings icon located in the bottom-left corner of the website.
