Machines4U scored a press pass to interview Shane and see him in action.<\/span><\/p>\n

The former <\/span>Brisbane Broncos<\/span><\/i> star, who runs his Toowoomba family farm and a commercial firewood business in-between his guest-speaker gigs and presenting sport on <\/span>Seven News<\/span><\/i> Brisbane<\/span><\/i>, understands the importance of getting replacement machinery hoses quickly. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re working and you blow a hose, you are stopped. Unless you have a mobile hose workshop yourself, you\u2019re calling someone in to get that replacement,\u201d says Shane.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been using Caterpillar machines for about 10 to 15 years. We\u2019ve run skid steer loaders, wheel loaders and things like that. Their machines are very reliable – they just don\u2019t have things go wrong with them that other machines do.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

On whether he thinks people are surprised by his love of machinery, Shane says, \u201cI suppose people are surprised, but it\u2019s not much different to being a footballer: you jump in a machine and you\u2019re running hard at stuff, it\u2019s good!\u201d  <\/span><\/p>\n
