Managing Director – Mitchell Stokoe says, “With the precision of the GPS and the manoeuvrability of the Doherty tilt hitch the quality of the work we can achieve is outstanding.”

Mitchell comes from a coal mining background where he slowly built and transitioned into Slimline Excavations by working Friday to Sunday in the Helensburgh mines, and Monday to Thursday on the Slimline business.

A key point that Slimline was built on from these early stages, was ensuring each project was completed to a high standard and work sites were left spotless.

“Other companies don’t last long because they’re trying to get in and out of jobs quickly which leads to unhappy clients,” says Mitchell. “We’ve got great clients who are willing to invest a bit more to get the job done right and find the project site in a tidy condition when we leave. Any mess we make – it’s our job to clean up.”

Finished, clean and tidy worksite using 5-tonne Kobelco excavator. Occasionally we have to use other subcontractor machines that use different hitches, and my guys just can’t wait to get back on our tools.”

With a strong reputation in the industry, Mitchell says he is conscious to maintain Slimline Excavation’s integrity. “I’m really happy where we are as a team and the attention to detail we can offer our clients, so I’m wary about growing Slimline Excavations more than this, so we can keep on delivering clean, quality results for our customers.”

D-Lock Tilt working around close spaces.
