Whether it\u2019s residential subdivisions, industrial estates, or signalised intersections\u2014we\u2019re very much at home doing that kind of work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

That versatility is matched by their commitment to quality, which is why CONARRD recently expanded their fleet with the Kobelco SK380XDLC, supplied by Melbourne Tractors. The machine has already made a strong impression on-site at Butler Court in Wallan, where CONARRD is undertaking a major earthworks operation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve stripped the job now and we\u2019re doing the cut-to-fill operation,\u201d Rob shared. \u201cThe 380\u2019s been great\u2014very responsive, light on its feet, and you can definitely feel the power in it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Fuel efficiency has also been a standout. \u201cWe\u2019re getting about two and a half days out of a tank, which is fantastic given fuel prices,\u201d Rob added. \u201cIt\u2019s always good to save where you can.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Anthony echoed the sentiment, praising the machine\u2019s performance and the support from Melbourne Tractors. \u201cThe dealings with Kobelco and Melbourne Tractors have been second to none. We\u2019re Kobelco people for life now, I think.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The name \u201cCONARRD\u201d itself is a reflection of the founders\u2019 personal investment in the business. \u201cThe C-O-N is for construction, A-R is Anthony Rice, and R-D is Rob Donev,\u201d Anthony explained. \u201cWe\u2019re actually wrapped with how the logo\u2019s come up on the machines\u2014it looks awesome.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But beyond branding and machinery, it\u2019s the company\u2019s culture that sets CONARRD apart. Both founders are deeply involved in day-to-day operations, often found on-site, boots dusty, machines running. \u201cThe client can come out any time and speak to myself or Anthony,\u201d Rob said. \u201cThey get information first-hand, not a week or two later.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

That accessibility and transparency have helped CONARRD grow quickly through word of mouth. \u201cWe\u2019ve won multiple jobs just from delivering them on time, under budget, and safely,\u201d Rob noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Anthony reinforced their long-term vision: \u201cWe\u2019re not trying to be a $100 million business. We\u2019re happy to stay smaller and provide a good service. That\u2019s our biggest thing\u2014providing a safe environment and a place people want to come to work every day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
