The Trio® TCW series coarse washer specialises in the cleaning of coarse material containing water soluble slits and soft clay. The coarse material is washed as it is carried up the spiral shaft and cast paddles abrade and separate the aggregate from dust and soluble clay. The waste material is then absorbed by the water pumped in from the manifold at the bottom of the tub and discharged over the adjustable weirs at the back of the machine. The Trio® TCW series coarse washer classifies by using the weights of each material – lightweight waste material floats to the top of the water and is carried over the adjustable weirs, the cleaned product is discharged at top of the shaft after being fully processed by the rotating paddles.
Trio® TCW series coarse washers are a cost-effective method to clean, classify and dewater coarse material.
Key features / benefits:
- The washer tub is constructed using low carbon steel plates
- The seamless steel spiral shaft is thick-walled and features bolt-on flight and paddle hubs with replaceable case shoes
- Gear reducers ensure high reduction ratios are upheld by lowering spiral speeds and increasing torque outputs
- A flexible spider coupling protects the rotating shaft from thrust loads
- A flexible spider coupling protects the gear reducer against vibrations
- Lower end shaft coupling provides an easy method for removing the shaft for maintenance
