AMOB UK Completes Factory Acceptance Testing for Australian Fluid Power Manufacturer

AMOB UK Completes Factory Acceptance Testing for Australian Fluid Power Manufacturer

Presented by AMOB

AMOB UK has successfully completed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for an Australian manufacturer specialising in fluid power components and hydraulic line systems ahead of the delivery of an eMOB 63 2 Bend fully electric CNC tube bending machine.

Conducted at AMOB’s manufacturing facility, the FAT process allowed the customer to evaluate machine performance, bending accuracy, software functionality, and tooling configuration before shipment to Australia.

The project highlights the growing demand for advanced tube bending technology within industries where accuracy, repeatability, and efficient production of hydraulic tube assemblies are critical.

Fully Electric Tube Bending for Fluid Power Applications

Hydraulic and fluid power systems often require complex tube geometries, tight tolerances, and consistent production quality across large batches of components.

The eMOB 63 2 Bend has been developed to help manufacturers meet these requirements through fully electric, left-and-right bending technology.

Its rotating head and multi-stack tooling configuration allow operators to perform left and right-hand bends within a single cycle, reducing handling between operations and simplifying the production of complex tube assemblies.

For manufacturers producing hydraulic pipework and fluid transfer systems, this can help improve workflow efficiency while maintaining consistent bend quality across production runs.

What Happens During Factory Acceptance Testing?

Factory Acceptance Testing provides an opportunity for customers to assess machine performance before delivery and installation.

During the FAT process, the customer worked alongside AMOB engineers to review:

  • Bending Accuracy and Repeatability
Evaluation of bend angle consistency and positioning accuracy across representative production components.
  • Software and Program Validation
Verification of machine programming, control functions, and the integration of customer-specific production requirements.
  • Tooling Assessment
Review of tooling performance and suitability for the customer’s intended applications and materials.

Completing these stages before shipment helps ensure the machine is configured correctly and ready for installation and commissioning once it arrives on site.

Supporting International Manufacturing Projects

The successful completion of FAT marks another milestone in AMOB UK’s support of international manufacturing projects across a wide range of industries.

Tom Wood, Managing Director of AMOB UK, said:

Projects such as this demonstrate the importance of close collaboration throughout the machine delivery process. Factory Acceptance Testing gives customers the opportunity to evaluate performance, review production requirements, and ensure the machine is configured correctly before shipment. We look forward to supporting the customer through installation, commissioning, and operator training in Australia.

Looking Ahead

With Factory Acceptance Testing now complete, preparations are underway for shipment, installation, and commissioning in Australia.

AMOB UK would like to thank the customer’s engineering and procurement teams for their collaboration throughout the FAT process and looks forward to supporting the next phase of the project as the eMOB 63 2 Bend enters production.
