From One RT-30 to 17 Posis — How Ecotrans Nails Site Cleans with Melbourne Tractors

Presented by Melbourne Tractors

Why ASV Posi-Tracks are the secret weapon for Melbourne’s toughest site cleans

When it comes to site cleaning, the work is demanding. Bricks, rubble, timber offcuts, and mud—every day brings a new challenge. For Ecotrans, one of Melbourne’s fastest-growing site cleaning and waste management companies, reliability isn’t optional—it’s essential. That’s why for the past seven years, they’ve partnered with Melbourne Tractors to keep their operations running smoothly.

Ecotrans founder Jason Styles knows what it means to start from scratch.

“I was the operator when we kicked off—just me, a machine, and a couple of builders. Now we’ve got 80 staff and a fleet that includes 17 ASVs and a few Kobelcos. It’s been a big journey,” Jason says.

Based in Hallam, Ecotrans now provides a full range of services—site cleans, spoil removal, skip bin and hook services—for some of Melbourne’s largest volume builders. With tight deadlines and high expectations, Jason’s team needs equipment that performs every time.

Why ASV Posi-Tracks Make the Difference

Jason’s first purchase from Melbourne Tractors was an ASV RT-30. Today, that’s grown into a fleet of 17 ASV Posi-Tracks working across Melbourne’s busiest construction sites. The reason? Performance and reliability.

“Where I thought they’d be good, they’ve been great. The biggest advantage is in winter—no getting bogged, no issues with tyres. They just keep going,” Jason explains.

And it’s not just on-site where they deliver. Back at the Ecotrans yard, these machines handle material movement efficiently, keeping the entire operation on schedule.

Built for the Toughest Conditions

Site cleaning is one of the hardest jobs on machinery. Bricks, rubble, and debris put equipment to the test every day. Jason says the ASVs have been a game-changer:

“This industry is tough on gear. You’ve got to get in, clean up, and get out quickly. These machines let us do that without the downtime,” he says.

A Partnership That Works

Melbourne Tractors’ Dale McKenna has been working with Jason since the early days.

“The first machine I sold him was an RT-30. Now we’re talking 17 ASVs and a few Kobelcos. Watching Ecotrans grow has been incredible—and we’re proud to be part of that journey,” Dale says.
