Ground-breaking new design enters Australian construction equipment market.

HİDROMEK has been the market leader in Turkey for the last nine years for backhoe loader sales and for the last six years for excavator sales. Exporting to more than 80 countries on 5 continents, HİDROMEK works with an international dealer network providing sales and aftersales. The company also has direct outlets in Spain, Russia and Japan. HİDROMEK has now entered the Australian construction equipment market by partnering with Onetrak.

HİDROMEK, a globally known manufacturer of construction machinery, was founded in Ankara in 1978. Hasan Basri Bozkurt, the founder and current board chairman, started with the production of attachments for agricultural tractors. This initiative developed further in the following years and the first construction machine ever designed by Turkish engineers was produced. The product range expanded with time, leading to the growth of HİDROMEK. Today HİDROMEK employs around 1900 people. Excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders and backhoe loaders are manufactured in six production facilities including four factories in Ankara, one factory in İzmir and one factory in Thailand.

HİDROMEK is strongly driven by customer feedback, the company is a trailblazer within the industry investing heavily in R&D to continuously develop and reinforce its product range. The HİDROMEK equipment range is backed by an impressive list of awards including “Product Design Award” by American Good Design, “Product Design Award” & “Professional Concept” by German IF Design and “Winner” & “Best of The Best Award” by Red Dot Awards.

In 2017 the decision was made to appoint Onetrak as the official dealer for HİDROMEK in Australia. David Hazell, Managing Director and Founder of Onetrak stated that he is very confident in the future of the brand in Australia “HİDROMEK is an incredibly strong brand in Europe. The product quality and design are outstanding, and we are very excited to bring the products to the Australian market. The product range is already strong and there are several new product releases to look forward to over the next 12-18 months”.

Andrew Pritchard, National Sales Manager at Onetrak recently visited the four HİDROMEK factories in Turkey “We recently hosted a group of customers on an international trip to the factories in İzmir and Ankara, where they got to drive the machines and see the production lines first hand. The feedback we have received is extremely positive”.

“In addition to having new machines in stock we also have HİDROMEK units in the rental fleet providing various options for customers regardless of whether they are looking to purchase or hire equipment”.
