Complete wood briquetting and packaging line. Two RUF Lignum R2 briquette presses feeding a fully automatic Strojplast packaging line, from sawdust in to shrink-wrapped 10 kg packs out.
The line was installed and commissioned in October 2024 and has not run since. It has commissioning hours only. We bought it to make firewood briquettes, but plans changed and it now needs a new home.
It is sitting in a shed in Naval Base, Perth. You are welcome to come and inspect it.
PHOTOS AND VIDEO: the video and the first six photos are from Strojplast's factory video of an identical line (same presses, same packer, same layout). The layout drawing is the one supplied for this line. The rest of the photos are our line, taken on site at installation.
BRIQUETTING
- 2 x RUF Lignum R2 hydraulic briquette presses
- Rated 490 kg/hr each, so about 980 kg/hr across both presses
- Makes rectangular RUF briquettes, about 150 x 60 x 90 mm and 835 g each
- Central distribution silo, 2000 mm dia x 1200 mm high, with powered agitator and level sensor, on a painted elevated frame
- 2 x powered screw feeders, 1.8 m each, one to each press
- Signal lamps with flasher and horn, and remote access ethernet connection on both presses
PACKAGING (Strojplast, made in Slovenia, CE marked)
- BSW-721-ADP-2-BM-C automatic packaging line, fed from both presses
- Takes the briquettes from the presses, cleans off the sawdust, stacks them into 12-packs (4 x 3 x 1, about 10 kg), drops an A5 leaflet on top, sleeve wraps and shrinks them
- Up to 240 packs per hour
- Briquette length check with automatic reject, plus a return conveyor for the rejects
- Corner emergency exit, so the presses can keep running if the packer stops
- Buffer conveyor that holds 100 packs behind the shrink tunnel
- BIG-BAG station
- OP 133 semi-automatic pallet stretch wrapper, up to 10 pallets per hour, for 1165 x 1165 pallets up to 1,500 kg

- Packaging line: 400V 3-phase 50 Hz, 22 kW installed, about 11 kW running, 6 bar air at 300 l/min
- Shrink film: PE-LD, 40 to 100 micron, reels up to 750 mm wide and 350 mm diameter
- English manuals, electrical and pneumatic schematics, spare and wear parts lists
FOOTPRINT
The whole line, including the wrapper, fits in about 13.6 m x 10.6 m (layout drawing P in the photos).
Optional extra: we started building an external feed hopper and auger to feed the line through the wall. It is about three quarters built and untested. It can go with the line if you want it, at no extra charge.
Removal, freight and recommissioning are at the buyer's cost. The Australian agent that supplied and installed the line can arrange decommissioning and recommissioning anywhere in Australia or overseas, and we're happy to put you in touch.
The line cost over $920,000 + GST new in 2023, and new lines were quoted at around 12 months from order to delivery. This one is in Perth now and can be inspected any time.
$795,000 + GST, open to offers. Spec sheet attached.
