The U2-ProS is ANSER's long-running flagship coder and the printer that put thermal inkjet on Australian production lines. It has been superseded at the top of the range by the new Smart Printhead (SPH), but it remains in production, in stock and fully supported — parts, ink and service.

If you're already running U2-ProS units, nothing changes. If you're buying your first coder and want a proven, low-risk platform with a decade of field history behind it, this is it.

**The widest ink portfolio in the range**

This is where the U2-ProS still leads. A comprehensive solvent ink range covers substrates that water-based cartridges won't touch:

- Coated paper and cartons
- Metal and aluminium — cans, lids, extrusions
- Hard plastics — HDPE bottles, closures, containers
- Flexible film — pouches, laminates, wrappers
- Critical substrates via the S-UV series ink and UV curing kit

If you have a difficult substrate, the U2-ProS almost certainly has an ink for it.

**Zero maintenance**

Sealed cartridge. No pumps, no filters, no solvent top-ups, no make-up fluid, no annual service kit. New cartridge means a new printhead every time, so print quality on the last code matches the first.

**Mounts anywhere**

Flow wrappers, VFFS and pouch machines, cartoners, labellers, case erectors, carton tapers, or standalone over a conveyor. Optional encoder for unstable conveyors, photocell for precise triggering, alarm kit and UV curing kit.
