Cat® Cold Planers are designed for small paving jobs in residential and commercial applications and are primarily used to economically restore asphalt and concrete surfaces. They are ideal for milling imperfections prior to resurfacing, removing deteriorated pavement, removing traffic lane stripes, and performing jobs where the use of dedicated planers is limited.

DIRECT DRIVE SYSTEM
The direct drive system on the PC104 features a variable speed, uni-directional, gerotor-style hydraulic motor. The direct drive system on the PC105, High Flow, High Flow XPS, and XHP/XE models features a hydraulic radial piston motor to ensure maximum cutting rate and drum torque for optimal production performance and efficiency.

SELF-LEVELING DESIGN
The self-leveling design automatically levels the cold planer when placed on the ground for consistent depth control without operator adjustments and excellent spoil retention.

FLOAT, SPRING TILT AND HYDRAULIC TILT
Float enables planers to follow the contour of the surface and is activated by turning a handle. It is only available on High Flow, High Flow XPS, and XHP/XE planers. Spring tilt and hydraulic tilt enable planers to oscillate for angled cuts, with tilt hydraulically controlled on High Flow models and spring controlled on Standard Flow planers.

MAX PRO PRESSURE GAUGE
The Max Pro Pressure Gauge provides operator feedback to adjust ground speed for maximum productivity in changing material loads. The gauge displays planer performance in real-time conditions, is visible from the cab, and is standard on all models.

HYDRAULIC SIDE-SHIFT
Hydraulic side-shift permits close planing to curbs, walls, and other obstructions.

INDEPENDENT LEFT/RIGHT DEPTH CONTROL
Independent left/right depth control allows maximum drum depths to be adjusted independently on each skid. Gauges are easily viewable from the cab. Independent depth control is mechanical on the PC104 and PC105 models, while hydraulic independent depth control is standard on the PC305-PC412 models.

REPLACEABLE SKID PLATES
Easily replaceable, wear-resistant skid shoes remain parallel to the ground for optimum stability.

CUT MARK
The cut mark indicates the contact point of the drum with the surface based on the depth of cut, allowing an assistant to communicate with the operator when to start and stop the cut.

DRUM CENTER INDICATOR
The drum center indicator shows the center of the drum on the side of the planer.

BIT OPTIONS
All-purpose conical bits are standard. Optional concrete bits, heavy-duty concrete bits, and heavy-duty asphalt bits are also available, and tools for changing the bits are included.

OPTIONAL INTEGRATED WATER TANK
The coupler frame-mounted water tank provides a capacity of 42 gal (160 L) and can be combined with a cab-mounted water tank for additional capacity and run time. PC306 and PC406 models are available with a water tank installed, and a water tank kit is available for all models except XD models.
