Well presented HAFCO Metalmaster AL300 centre lathe manufactured 12/2004, serial number 1702, in very good to excellent condition with no damage or noticeable wear to the bed.
The lathe has 610mm between centres and 300mm swing over the bed. It features a quiet belt drive and has been upgraded with a new VFD variable frequency drive connected to a 3 phase 1.5HP motor. The VFD allows smooth speed adjustment up to 2000 RPM using a potentiometer without the need to change belts.
A major upgrade is the replacement of the original Chinese headstock bearings with German SKF precision bearings.
