IFE AEROSELECTOR – FOGO Decontamination & Compost Refinement
Recover more value from your matured FOGO material.
Supplied by MPS across Australia and New Zealand, the IFE AEROSELECTOR combines air separation, ballistic separation and star screening to remove plastic films, separate stones and recover reusable woody structural material from compost screening oversize.
Designed for use after maturation, it helps composting facilities reduce mixed screen rejects and recover material that would otherwise require further processing or disposal.
HOW IT FITS INTO YOUR PROCESS
Following maturation, an upstream screen separates the fine compost at your required cut size. The remaining oversize feeds into the AEROSELECTOR, where three separation stages process the material:
• Air separation lifts plastic films and lightweight contaminants from the material stream for collection.
• Ballistic separation removes stones and other suitable heavy, rolling material.
• Star screening separates recoverable structural material from larger residual oversize.
The result is four separate fractions: plastic films, stones, structural material and residual oversize. Recovered structural material can be considered for reuse in the composting process, subject to its quality and your operating requirements.
BENEFITS FOR FOGO PROCESSORS
• Remove plastic films from compost screening oversize.
• Separate stones from valuable organic material.
• Recover woody material for potential reuse as a bulking agent.
• Reduce the volume of mixed screening rejects requiring disposal.
• Adjust machine settings to suit changing material characteristics.
• Integrate into an existing processing line or a new compost refinement system.
CONFIGURED FOR YOUR SITE
MPS can assist with a solution combining the AEROSELECTOR, an IFE VARIOMAT screen, magnetic separation, feeding equipment and conveyors. The upstream screen recovers the fine compost fraction, while an optional magnetic pulley removes ferrous metals.
KEY MACHINE DATA
• Throughput: up to 100 m³/h.
• Working width: 1,200 mm.
• Core unit dimensions: 11,500 × 2,600 × 3,000 mm.
• Published power input: 45 kW.
• Machine weight: approximately 7,500 kg.
Throughput and separation performance depend on feed composition, moisture, particle size and machine settings. Total plant footprint and power requirements depend on the selected configuration.
