We have a Lathe Hydraulic Copy Attachment for sale
There are no markings to determine the brand, possibly made in Japan as the motor for the hydraulic power pack is branded Fuji Electric Co Ltd.
This hydraulic copy attachment (also known as a hydraulic tracer) is designed for manual engine lathes.
It replicates intricate profiles, steps, and tapers from a master template or sample piece onto a work piece without needing a CNC setup.
The equipment is divided into two primary hardware components:
1. The Tracing Unit (Top Section)Mounting style:
The upper metal assembly mounts onto the cross-slide or the rear of a lathe carriage.
Tool Post:
Located on the left end, holds the cutting tool bit.
Hydraulic Slide:
The main body houses a single-acting or double-acting hydraulic cylinder that moves the cutting tool dynamically along the X-axis.
Stylus and Valve:
The long lever arm connected to the rear controls the highly sensitive internal spool valve (servo control valve). As the stylus follows a template bar mounted on the lathe bed, it modulates hydraulic fluid flow to move the tool post perfectly in sync with the pattern.
2. The Hydraulic Power Pack (Bottom Section)Electric Motor:
The top-mounted industrial motor drives the internal hydraulic pump inside the reservoir tank.
Fluid Reservoir:
The heavy-duty steel base tank stores and cools the hydraulic oil.
Pressure Management:
Features an analogue pressure gauge to monitor system operational limits (typically functioning between 14 to 18 Kg/cm²) and an integrated oil filler cap.
Hoses:
Heavy-duty flexible hydraulic lines transfer fluid pressure dynamically between the base pump and the upper tracing tool slide.

3 Phase Power — Please Note
This machine may not include a plug. When 3 phase machinery is decommissioned from industrial use, it is typically disconnected from a switchboard by an electrician — meaning no plug is fitted, and in some cases the cable may also be absent. As a machinery dealer, we are not electricians and are unable to supply or fit plugs. Buyers will need to arrange connection through a licensed electrician. This is no different to purchasing new 3-phase machinery, which also requires a licensed electrician for installation.
We recommend customers pay us a visit to inspect machinery, where we are happy to test run machinery in our warehouse, that way it gives you peace of mind that the machine will do your job before purchase.
This pedestal drill is in our warehouse so please feel free to pop in to inspect the machine at your convenience.
We are always interested in purchasing metalworking machinery & surplus equipment. Should you be looking at Downsizing, Relocating, Closing Down or having machinery surplus to requirements, we would appreciate the opportunity to assist in any way we can.
We would like to extend a note to all prospective customers. We are happy to provide details of freight companies that transport machines anywhere in Australia or worldwide. However, we want to remind customers that the machines are not insured during transport by either the transport companies or Newmac Equipment. We strongly advise that customers speak with their usual insurance company to take out transport insurance.
