Modular Filtration Architecture & Operating Principle
Each MDC unit utilises a modular, compartmentalised filtration design incorporating high-efficiency filter media (bag or cartridge-based depending on configuration). Filtration is achieved via negative pressure airflow, with particulate loading managed through automated regeneration systems:
Shaker (Vibration) Cleaning System – mechanically actuated filter cleaning cycle initiated during system shutdown, dislodging accumulated particulate from filter media via controlled oscillation.
Compressed Air Reverse Pulse Jet Cleaning System – high-pressure compressed air pulses directed into filter elements during operation, maintaining differential pressure stability and continuous filtration efficiency.
These systems optimise pressure drop control, filtration efficiency, and filter media lifecycle, reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).
Energy Optimisation & System Control Integration
All MDC systems are supplied with PLC-based control architecture enabling fully automated filtration cycle management, including differential pressure monitoring and timed or demand-based cleaning sequences.
Optional integration of a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) allows dynamic fan motor control based on real-time system demand. Using duct-mounted pressure transducers, airflow is modulated in response to extraction load, significantly reducing kW consumption during partial load or idle machine conditions while maintaining capture velocity compliance.
Continuous Operation & Material Handling Efficiency
Each MDC system is equipped with a rotary airlock discharge valve, enabling continuous dust discharge into collection bins or screw conveyors without system shutdown. This maintains uninterrupted process operation and prevents loss of extraction performance during waste removal cycles.
