This Stanko 1M636 Heavy Duty Engine Lathe is a robust Soviet-built machine designed for demanding machining applications. Manufactured by Stanko, one of the former USSR's best-known machine tool builders, the 1M636 is renowned for its strength, rigidity and long service life.

With a 700mm swing over bed, 3300mm between centres, and a 450mm four-jaw chuck, this machine is ideally suited to machining large shafts, rollers, hydraulic cylinders and heavy engineering components.

The machine features a heavy cast iron bed, hardened guideways, wide speed and feed selection, power feeds and screwcutting capability, making it suitable for repair workshops, general engineering, mining, agricultural and industrial maintenance applications.
