This packaged WTP was custom designed and manufactured by Dowdens Pumping & Water Treatment for the Resort project in Queensland.
The plant has never been commissioned or placed into operational service and is now surplus to project requirements.

TREATMENT PROCESS
The plant was designed with a multi-stage treatment process incorporating:
Chemical dosing for pH correction and chlorine disinfection/oxidisation
Primary sediment / activated glass media filtration
Iron and manganese reduction/removal using DMI-65 filtration media
Activated carbon filtration for organics and residual chlorine reduction
Reverse Osmosis (RO) treatment for dissolved solids reduction
UV disinfection
Associated pumps, process instrumentation and controls within the packaged WTP
The original system was designed to produce treated water in accordance with the project design requirements based on the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines applicable at the time of design.

The WTP was purchased for a project but has not been placed into operational service.
This provides a significant saving compared with purchasing and manufacturing a comparable new custom containerised treatment plant.
