Heavy-duty Webster & Bennett EV-72 Vertical Borer, British built and featuring the desirable extended-height elevating bridge configuration, providing substantially greater vertical capacity than a standard 72" machine.
This is a particularly versatile large-capacity vertical borer, well suited to machining large and tall components where both diameter and increased working height are required.
The machine is equipped with a 72" (1829 mm) diameter table and approximately 84" (2134 mm) maximum swing. The elevating bridge allows the cross rail and tooling assembly to be positioned to accommodate workpieces of varying heights, with this machine having the extended-height column arrangement.
Fitted with a side-mounted turret/tool head, power feeds, rapid traverse, large manual control handwheels and digital readout, together with a substantial heavy-duty cast construction typical of Webster & Bennett machines.
The machine presents in good, honestly used condition for its age, with the table, slideways and major working surfaces presenting particularly well.
