This machine is used in the grain milling process for the classification and separation of granular materials into high-density (heavy), mixed and low-density fractions. It can classify and/or separate crushed corn, corn germ and endosperm, light impurities from durum or ergot from wheat, etc.
It was only used for a short production run for cleaning corn from small bits and particles. It requires a blower to be hooked up to it, see example stock image of a typical setup.
