Millipore Filter Company (later Millipore Corporation) pioneered the use of membrane technology in hundreds of applications in 1954. Soon after their establishment, they expanded their range of products and core capabilities making them a billion dollar Life Science corporation. In 2010, Merck aquired the company propelling them to become part of the company's life science tools division. Today, Merck Millipore offer an extremely wide variety of products that include capsule and cartridge filters, kits and assays, valves, blood typing products, connectors and mixers, vectors, activators, and many more.
