SHINI STM series temperature controllers cover oil heaters, water heaters and dual purpose oil and water units, in both standard and high temperature builds. Their job is simple. Bring the mould up to temperature and hold it there, cycle after cycle. They also suit other processes that need a stable heated medium.
Hot medium returns from the mould to the cooling tank, where indirect cooling brings it down. A high pressure pump then pushes it through the heating tank and back to the mould at setpoint. The PID controller holds that setpoint within ±0.5°C.
Temperature and medium:
• Heating medium: water or oil, including dual purpose models ( 6 and 9 kw only)
• Water and oil heater range: water to 120°C (248°F), oil to 160°C (320°F)
• Standard STM oil heaters: oil to 200°C (392°F)
• STM-HT high temperature oil models: to 300°C (572°F)
• STM-PW high temperature water models: to 180°C (356°F)
• Multi stage control holds mould temperature within ±0.5°C (0.9°F)
Control and communication:
• P.I.D control behind a 4.3 inch LCD with a user friendly interface
• Built in weekly timer with °C and °F conversion
• Modbus RTU data communication over RS485
Safety and service features:
• Alarms with display and buzzer for reverse phase, pump overload, overheat and low oil level
• Pump reversion evacuation, automatic water supplying and negative pressure operation (optional)
• High efficiency vertical design for high temperature duty
Model numbers in this range encode the specification. The first digits give the heater rating in kW and the last digits give the pump rating in tenths of an HP. The family runs from STM-607 (6 kW heater) through STM-3650 (36 kW heater), and a D suffix means dual heating zones.
