Biesse Intermac Cut Up L B Cutting bench for laminated glass
Flexible cutting system with transport automation for laminated glass, capable to automatically perform scoring, breaking and separation.
Versatile, automatic cutting system engineered for seamless laminated glass processing.
It efficiently handles all key operations like scoring, breaking, separation, PVB heating, and cutting, automatically.
With its integrated transport system, buffer zone, and strip rotation capabilities, it ensures fast processing and consistent output, regardless of job complexity or operator expertise.
Smart Buffering
After each X cut, sheet remnants must be moved away from the cutting line to allow Y cuts on the strips, a time-consuming process, especially for large sheets.
Intermac Cut Up L B introduces a clever vertical buffer solution that raises the remnants, enabling immediate Y cuts and dramatically reducing the overall dimension of the machine.
Once completed, the buffer lowers the remnants back for subsequent X cuts, eliminating delays caused by repositioning and therefore increasing productivity.
Balanced pressure
Since gravity affects the upper and lower cutting heads differently, using the same pressure can result in scoring imbalances that affect cut quality.
This machine incorporates dual independent proportional valves for each cutting head, providing accurate control and ensuring consistent, top-quality cuts.
Cutting time, cutting waste
Manual trim cut operations consume valuable time and require skilled operators.
Intermac Cut Up L B automates the process, performing trim cuts as narrow as 20mm, improving efficiency and ensuring consistent production.
The smaller trim cut also helps optimize the layout, improving sheet yield and minimizing waste.
Effortlessly Cutting Complex Shapes
The machine offers advanced capabilities for cutting curvilinear shapes through a sophisticated interpolation of the vacuum cups and cutting head.
A dedicated suction cup with a rotational encoder allows for accurate assisted positioning of diagonal cuts, enabling automatic cutting, breaking, and separation of parallelogram and trapezoid glass shapes.
Automated handling
The integrated transport belt system on the loading table automatically positions the sheet for cutting and repositions the remnants for the following cutting stages.
A smart mechanism with two interpolated suction cups handles strip rotation for orthogonal cuts, enabling continuous, fully autonomous production.
This solution eliminates tedious manual tasks, such as pushing remnants from the back of the machine or manually rotating glass strips after the initial cutting stage.
Effortless Low-E Glass Processing
A tangential wheel, mounted on the machine head and powered by an independent motor, ensures efficient Low-E coating removal, supported by a dedicated vacuum system.
The integrated automatic redressing station maintains the wheel’s planarity, guaranteeing flawless coating removal and perfectly clean glass, ready for the next operations in the production process.
Thick glass? No problem
Designed for precision, the machine’s reinforced breaking bar with linear guides and a torque shaft ensures uniform pressure for consistent, reliable breaking.
Intermac Cut Up L B processes laminated glass from 22.1 to 1010.4 without requiring special equipment or highly skilled operators.
Laminated Glass
The machine’s primary process starts with scoring using tungsten carbide wheels, followed by glass breakout with integrated breakout bars.
Heating lamps then soften the PVB layer, allowing for automatic separation and precise PVB cutting to complete the process.
Low-E laminated glass
With the TCR unit, the coating layer is automatically removed before the scoring, breaking, and separation phases, enabling fast and efficient processing of low-E glass.
Monolithic, patterned, mirror
Capable of handling monolithic, patterned, and mirrored glass, Intermac Cut Up L B automates the scoring and breakout phases for seamless processing.
