The Variable Speed Champion lathe offers a spindle speed of up to 2500 RPM and features a constant surface speed function (CSS) that adjusts the spindle speed automatically to maintain a constant cutting speed between the tool and the workpiece surface. It is especially useful for achieving consistent finishes and efficient cutting during operations like turning, facing, or tapering.

Designed with operator safety in mind, it includes features such as leadscrew covers, chuck and chip guards, an emergency stop switch, and a convenient footbrake. Additionally, all models can be specially ordered with premium digital readout systems from brands like Fagor, Easson, Carmar, Heidenhain, Sony, Mitutoyo, and Measumax.
