The DX-70 PLUS produces digitally-printed sewn books comprising 4-page and 8-page inserted signatures
Optimized printing
8-page inserted signatures allow the machine to offer a wider range of available printing formats.
Parallel buckle folder unit
8-page inserted signatures production to optimise costs.
Knife cross folding
Optimal stable sheet folding quality during signature preparation.
Max B2 sheet size
Handles sheet sizes up to 500 x 700 mm
Product part excellence
OMRON automation technology and PEPPER & FUCHS industrial sensors
Effective diagnostics
Free, fast and expert remote technical
Flat pile feeder
The automatic feeder handles sheets up to a maximum B2 size (500 x 700 mm) and is equipped with a self-adjusting sheet separation head and suction drum.
Double sheet detection
Pepper & Fuchs ultrasonic electronic sensors check each single sheet as they pass through the system, and stop the cycle in the event of double sheets.
Parallel buckle folder unit
The two parallel buckle folder unit is positioned before the inserting station and optimised production costs by allowing the line to produce 8-page – as a pose to the traditional 4-page - inserted signatures.
Inserting station
Variable insertion of flat sheets (4-page inserted signature production) or folded sheets (8-page inserted signature production) is performed before the signatures are carefully aligned and transferred to the cross-knife unit for the cross fold.
Knife cross fold
A brushless motor-driven knife cross-folds the stacked sheets with a bottom-upwards motion to finalise signature composition.
Locking system
A highly-accurate signature locking system at the top of the sewing saddle ensures that stitches are perfectly centred on the signature spine.
Signature extractor system
The new signature extractor bar is able to control the signature unloading process, and therefore particularly suitable for album formats.
Operator interface
A 9-inch touch screen monitor allows the operator to run the book program and monitor machine operating parameters.
Sheet sequence control
A high-speed Omron camera handles BARCODE or DATA MATRIX information and ensures an elevated degree of control is maintained over the sequence of printed sheets.
