Kangastop Tradesman
The Kangastop Tradesman is an entry-level, precision measuring stop designed for integration with a variety of machinery, including drop saws, drill presses, and punches.
This system significantly reduces cutting time by over 50% compared to manual stop systems by eliminating the need for operators to manually adjust stop lengths. Once calibrated to the host machine, the operator simply enters the required cut length in millimetres via the HMI touchscreen and the bump stop automatically positions itself with high accuracy.
The touchscreen displays the current set length and maintains this position until a new value is entered. Factory calibration ensures the unit is ready for immediate use upon installation.
Users need only input the measured distance from the saw blade to the pusher arm to begin precise cutting.
The Kangastop Tradesman utilises industrial-grade components from leading manufacturers such as Omron, Festo, and Phoenix Contacts, delivering a repeatable accuracy of ±0.1 mm.
Reliability is further assured by a 10-year warranty covering parts and labour.
The Tradesman features a custom extruded aluminium housing that supports the linear guide rail, drive gears, and belt system. The electronics are powered by an industrial-grade Omron PLC and HMI touchscreen The HMI is both water and dust resistant, ensuring long-term durability.
The servo-driven encoder provides constant feedback for precise control, while steel-reinforced belts and sealed bearing housings enhance mechanical reliability. The system operates on a standard 240 V, 10 amp supply, and all fixings are #304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
