Vertical plate alluvial filters are particularly suitable for the filtration of liquids with suspended solid particles, such as edible oils, juices, wine, vinegar, milk and derivatives. Thanks to their technical characteristics, they are particularly recommended for the coarse processing of products. This type of filtration requires the use of filter aids, mainly diatomaceous earth.
The vertical plate system offers numerous advantages, such as the almost complete drying of the panels at the end of filtration and the easy evacuation of the filter cake, i.e. the filtration residues, in addition to easy maintenance and removal of the filter pack. Spadoni EMME vertical plate filters are characterized by vertical filter plates. The lateral supports, which characterize the system, are designed to prevent the plates from overloading the filtered product discharge manifold with their weight, preventing dangerous ovalization of the seats over time.
