Q: Why does this plate cutting machine use Type 51/54 3-seat tips, instead of standard Type 41/44 tips as used on hand torches?
A: Type 41/44 tips are not used on cutting machines for a number of reasons, one being that they are not the best design to achieve good performance in machine cutting applications. Type 51/54 3-seat tips are a very common tip used on many oxy cutting & machines in Australia & other countries.
