XXL-Center: The second generation!

Does this sound familiar? Your bread and butter is in long parts, but bending them requires two, maybe three operators. The floor space in your factory is shrinking. On the other hand the effort and cost to handle sometimes complicated profiles has become increasingly expensive.

The solution is called RAS XXL-Center!
The operator draws the profile of the multi-touch screen. The software automatically programs the part and suggests several folding strategies. The operator selects a folding sequence and the control simulates the entire program run in either a 2D or 3D view. After having starting the program, the load tables move out of the machine and the operator comfortably loads the sheet metal blank. An operator simply loads the workpiece and then unloads the folded part.

That's it. The machine automatically inserts, squares, positions to the bend line, and folds the flanges up or down. No more rotation. No more complicated handling. No more second or third operator. The XXL-Center automatically produces precision long parts in record time!

Because of the unique motion of the machine's tools, it is possible to bend pre-coated sheets without scratching the material surface!

The second generation RAS XXL-Center is specifically designed for the metal building industry to give its user a fierce, competitive advantage. The advantages begin with the automatic part programming. Operators simply load a blank onto the sheet support system and press the foot pedal. The RAS XXL-Center folds the part unassisted, giving workers time to package the finished parts for shipment.

Up and Down!
Up and down folding eliminates a need to rotate the parts. The tools roll away with the blank and fold them without scratching pre-painted materials. Hems can be closed to a programmable dimension. Short cycle times, precision flange dimensions and angles and low costs per part guarantee a quick payback of the investment.

Automatic Programming!

Load blanks with unique RAS comfort!
It has never been that easy to load a blank into a long folder. The load table automatically move out of the machine just as far that the operator can load a long sheetmetal part.

Auto blank squaring!
The squaring fingers automatically pop-up from the work surface. Their funnel shape and 80 mm height insure that even wavy blanks are easily squared.

Good Grip!
After the blank is squared the XXL-Centers grippers take over the workpiece. They hold and position the part for each bend. The feeding grippers can clamp on straight material, but can also clamp above a pre-bent hem or a closed hem. Additional special grippers can grab a pre-bent flange up to 25 mm.
