We have a high-quality, used Italian-made Sicar S630A Thicknesser in good condition for sale.
Designed for accurate planing of wide boards and production work, this machine features cast-iron tables and a robust feed system — ideal for cabinet shops, joineries, and schools needing a consistent finish and easy setup.
Control Overview – What Does What
Feed speed selector (lever, lower left side panel): two-speed mechanical gearbox
Slow: for finer finish and difficult grain
Fast: for higher throughput on softwoods/straight grain
(Always change speeds with the machine stopped)
Thickness scale (left of mouth): shows the table-to-cutter distance (finished thickness), with red pointer
Table raise/lower (rocker switch ? / ? on front panel): powered rise/fall of the thicknessing table for fine setting
Indexed red selector (top of panel): quick reference dial to repeat common settings. Works with the raise/lower switch as a guide — not a digital readout
Main motor controls:
Green = Start
Red = Stop
Emergency stop (red mushroom, lower front panel): latches power off; twist to release before restarting
Main isolator (black rotary switch, lower front panel): master on/off for the whole machine
