Spiral Air Movers (SAM Units)
Efficient and versatile, Spiral Air Movers are engineered primarily for the extraction of fumes, heat, and gases. They can also be used to introduce fresh air into confined or enclosed spaces—functioning similarly to an electric fan, but powered by compressed air.

BLOVAC. Designed primarily for the venting of
fumes, heat and gases, SAM units can also be
used for blowing outside atmosphere into given
areas, not unlike using an electric fan.
The use of BLOVAC's unique patented spiral air
technology means that contaminated air or
harmful fumes and gases can now be
transported over much longer distances.
Compressed air is fired through a series of fine
jets creating a spiral air flow in each of the
venturis and entraining surrounding air causing
a huge spiral thrust. For extremely long
distances, several SAM units can be connected
in series using flexible ducting or rigid tubing
fitted to both ends of the main body.
With the emphasis on creating safer and more
efficient working environments, BLOVAC's
Spiral Air Movers can be used for a variety of
applications, such as venting out sewerage
pipes and tunnels via manholes; venting out
holds on ships; extraction of harmful fumes or
gases from oil, gas and chemical pipelines;
cooling bakers ovens to allow for maintenance
work to be carried out; fresh air ventilation and
cooling of workers in confined spaces;
incorporated into pipelines for gas conveying;
ventilation in the mining industry.
When using SAM units to supply fresh air to
confined areas, it
is essential to ensure that the
compressed air supply complies with
international safety regulations. For this reason,
it
is preferable to ventilate such areas by
extracting the contaminated air and allowing
fresh air to flow in by natural means.

Manufactured in 3
bore sizes - 4"(100mm),
8"(200mm) and 12"(300mm) - and available
with a range of light and heavy duty flexible
ducting hose, SAMs are easily carried, have no
moving parts and provide a flameproof,
