KYDEX is a proprietary thermoplastic sheet with fire retardant formulations but with significantly higher impact strength and extensibility.

Since KYDEX is less hygroscopic, unlike FR-ABS, it typically does not require pre-drying, offers superior impact, more uniform forming with less wall thinning and offers significantly greater resistance to a broad range of corrosive chemicals and cleaning solutions.

KYDEX sheets have excellent forming properties, which results in uniform wall thicknesses and crisp detail.
KYDEX sheets forms to deep draws with low forces when heated to the upper end of the forming temperature range.
Unlike many other thermoforming sheets, KYDEX sheets has unusually high resistance to hot tearing.
