Wood-Mizer HR250 Double Head Resaw

This compact, twin blade horizontal resaw is the best in its class and takes your lumber operation to the next level. Saw 16” wide x 12” high material into two or three pieces with each pass. Complete with a Performance Package, this Made in the USA resaw includes high performance blade guide rollers and Setworks on a remote operator control stand that you can position for safe and convenient operation.

Designed for high-production lumber and pallet board operations, the HR250 features two horizontal bandsaw blades within one compact head which is ideal for resawing cants, boards, or reclaimed material into two or three pieces with each pass. Powered by two 25HP (18kW) saw wheel motors and two 2HP (.75kW) gear box motors, the HR250 is built to last with heavy-duty construction, premium components, and 28" (710mm) diameter dynamically balanced steel band wheels.

Operation

Control panel setworks with digital blade position controls ensure accurate height positioning of the saw wheels when setting cut thickness. Each blade has its own setworks panel and is controlled and run independently using the digital controls or manual up/down buttons. Once the blades are adjusted for the cut, the blade is engaged and material is fed through the machine. Cants and boards up to 16” wide and 12” high are placed onto the rugged, electric driven conveyor belt with a variable feed adjustment from 0 – 90 feet (0 - 27 meters) per minute for optimal processing of various sized and type of material. Pneumatic hold down rollers and an idle top roller keep material secure as it moves through the machine. Material is continually fed through the machine until processing is complete. Blade tension is automatic and controlled by an air-over-oil hydraulic system in order to maintain proper tensioning for longer blade life.
