The LX30 is Wood-Mizer’s most compact and cost-effective sawmill, designed for woodworking enthusiasts, DIY builders, hobbyists, and anyone beginning their sawmilling journey. As one of the most budget-friendly options in its class, the LX30 is the ideal choice for first-time users searching for reliable performance without a significant investment.

Versatile and beginner-friendly, the LX30 is suitable for a wide range of small-scale applications – whether you're processing logs on a farm, maintaining an orchard, or enjoying woodworking as a hobby. Its straightforward mechanical design makes it easy to use even without prior experience.

Despite its compact size, the LX30 delivers impressive cutting capabilities. It can handle logs up to 56 cm in diameter and 3.3 meters in length. The sawhead, built from strong steel tubing, moves on four rollers along a three-section steel bed. For added flexibility, the bed can be extended with optional 1.33-meter sections to accommodate longer logs.

The bed is positioned low to the ground for easy log loading and turning and features two adjustable side supports and a manual log clamp. The sawmill’s bed is mounted on runners, while optionally, it can be fitted with adjustable legs.

The LX30 sawmill can be powered with a 9.5 HP gasoline engine or a 3 kW electric motor. These power units are proven performers, offering both durability and cost efficiency.

Operating the LX30 is simple – start the engine, lower the sawhead using the hand crank, check the cutting height on the built-in scale, open the coolant valve, and then begin cutting. Raise the sawhead, return to the start, and pick up your first slab!

The LX30 utilizes 32 mm x 3200 mm blades, which cut logs with a thin kerf, allowing for maximum timber production with minimal sawdust left over. For optimal results, we recommend using genuine Wood-Mizer blades.

Available online, the LX30 ships on a single pallet (dimensions 165 x 65 x 98 cm), with an access to a setup video. Most components are pre-assembled for convenience – the sawhead is pre-fitted with wheels, the engine, clutch, and drive belts. All other parts are clearly labeled, and the assembly process is designed to be straightforward, typically taking one day to complete.
